About Us
- Our Mission
Anglican Youth Ministries are intent on having the value of young people and Youth Ministry recognised and considered at a Diocesan, Regional and Parish level.
Anglican Youth Ministries exists to co-ordinate and develop effective responses to the needs of youth ministries (for young people aged 13-18) years. This will enable the creation of effective long term parish-based youth ministries.
- Strategic Plan
AYM is currently reviewing its stratagic plan. This will be available for comment in early 2008.
- Our Organisation
AYM is governed by a board of management which is a subset of diocesan ministry. This board supports and enables the ministry of the AYM staff through the Diocesan Youth Officer.
AYM's main roles include education and training, resourcing, networking and advocacy for youth ministry in the wider church and community, encouraging a range of youth activities and programs, and support for youth ministry at the local parish levels.
Primarily we work with lay leaders and clergy to assist them in the development of parish Youth Ministries. In this way we add value rather than duplicating services at a Parish level.
